October 17th — Creative Materials for Curriculum Development

Held at The Recycle Center at Recycling for RI Education.

  • Learn to use recycled products in your program’s arts and crafts projects.
  • Materials will be available for purchase for $.20/pound following the workshop.

Directions: From 95-S, take Exit 17 – Elmwood Avenue/Roger Williams Park Zoo. Left onto Elmwood Avenue

and proceed approximately one mile (you will pass the Zoo on your Left). Take a Right onto Spooner Street.

From 95-N, take Exit 16. Bear Right on exit following signs for Rte.1/Elmwood Avenue. Take a right onto

Elmwood Ave. and your 5th right onto Spooner Street. Park to the left in the recycle parking lot only. Follow signs

to distribution entrance. There is no parking in the loading dock area. Pick up only.

 

    November 20, 2009 - Bright Stars on Self-Assessment 

    This workshoop will provide participants with an introduction an overview of the FCCERS-R, including a discussion

    of the tools administration and scoring. Participants will also be introduced to the concepts of using the

    December 4, 2009-*Holiday Gathering Lafayette Lodge in Cumberland

    Holiday gathering- Lafayette Lodge in Cumberland, RI at 7pm. Join fellow providers and one guest (no children) for a

    festive night of food and fun. Partake in a traditional yankee swap, by bringing a wrapped gift of $10 value.

    Tickets are $20 per person if purchased by Dec. 1st, $25 thereafter.

    • Want your young students to meet The Early Learning Standards and have a great time doing it? Well, this hands-on science workshop will help providers

      implement activities that give their students experiences that will help them understand their world. Providers will learn how to use common

      household items to conduct science investigations that will promote language and inquiry. Enjoyable for all! Instructor: Diane Brown

      Diane was an elementary classroom teacher in the Woonsocket School Department for 35 years. During that time, she served on Science

      curriculum development committees. Diane holds a Master of Education in Science from Rhode Island College.

    • whatever space they have.  Providers who have agreed to open up their homes for us.

    SATURDAY June 19, 2010- Join the FCCHRI Team and Bowling event

    This Bowling event is a way for all our members in the organization to get together in a social atmosphere away from family obligations and get to know each other a little better and have some fun in the process!
    Indeed, there can be no better or enjoyable way to live a healthy life and earn 2 educational credit hours.
    FCCHRI invite’s you to join our team and bowl with FCCHRI on Saturday June 19th at Lang’s Lanes on 225 Niantic Ave. Cranston, RI 02907

    The cost for this event is $12 person payable in advance, that includes two hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and soda.  Registration must be in by June 7th and sent to FCCHRI c/o Colleen Dorian 85 Colvintown Road Coventry, RI 02816.

    Take route 95 to Exit 12A, 113 East. Bear right onto Route 5 South. You will pass Crowne Plaza on your right. Continue for .7 of a mile. You will take a left on Bragger Street . (This Street is right after the EMBLEM and BADGE Company and BRANDAN DAMOUROTRANDO CO., which is on your left. It has bright blue awnings.) The Warwick Police Station is at the end of Bragger Street . Building on your left. Parking lot on your right. Our meeting room is the first room on the left after entering the building.

    Take 95 South to exit 10, route 117 west. Go about a mile down the road. The entrance to the YMCA is on the left hand side. Once you enter the YMCA go past the main building. This building has the pool in it. It also has a flagpole in front of the building. Go over a bridge. You will see a playground on your left, park at this parking lot. The board meeting will be held in the A-frame building. Go through the main doors, not the doors under the porch. The meeting will be held in the Y's owl classroom.
